Team-Based Training Database

The Team-Based Training Database is an application for class scheduling and class participant data. It is intended for Team Based Training administrators at plant locations.

As outlined in Letter 124, Appendix A of the 2003 UAW-DaimlerChrysler National Agreement, team-based training is being implemented to support and promote team-based manufacturing.

The locations in which this training is being implemented are doing so with full UAW participation and with agreement by union and management to implement lean processes.

Team-Based training provides information and skills in areas critical for a team-based approach to lean manufacturing. The team training courses include but are not limited to: Team-Based Concepts, Paradigm Shift, Coaching, Conflict Resolution, System Overview, and Andon Role and Function.

The database is solely for the use of selected plants approved to implement team-based training, and can be accessed only by designated persons who have received passwords to operate the system.

To gain access to the database, a TBT administrator must provide the UAW-DaimlerChrysler National Training Center with his or her DaimlerChrysler ID so that a login can be created.

In general, data shown is plant specific. Administrators only have access to their own plants' information. The modules, courses and instructors are companywide and can be viewed by anyone logging in.

Participant data is periodically updated to the DaimlerChrysler TEDS training repository and becomes part of the participant's training record.
