Apprenticeship
Program New
generations of skilled workers learn their
trades through this oldest joint program,
established in 1944.
Co-Chairs'
Awards Workers
and Local Joint Training Committees are honored
with this award for their outstanding achievements

Learning
Center Individualized
instruction helps workers brush up on basic
math, reading and writing skills so they may
pursue more advanced education.

Joint Training Facilitators At
each facility, a UAW Training Facilitator
helps workers pursue educational goals, obtain
information on NTC programs and coordinate
on-site classes.

Paid Educational Leave (PEL) Individuals
from both union and management explore the
economic, political and technological factors
affecting the auto industry and labor.

Training Technical
training for skilled trades workers and new
apprentices are offered at the center.
Tuition
Assistance Program (TAP) An
annual tuition allowance is available to workers,
dependent children and retirees taking college
or personal enhancement courses.
